    Quilting a fence rail quilt

Hi, I'm a beginner and have a fence rail quilt laid out and getting ready to sew the blocks together. I'm jumping ahead of myself but I'm already thinking of how I'm going to quilt it.

You could stitch in the ditch(sid) or just meander.

I just stitched in the ditch along the rail of the fence in the pattern. It made a nice stairstep pattern on the reverse of the quilt.

Your pattern is layed out differently, by I suppose you could do the same.

I like your color combo. Soothing but cheerful

I would probably do some sort of swirl pattern FMQ. If you don't FMQ then stitch in the ditch would work fine or a diagonal straight stitch using painters tape to mark your line.
BTW, is that a rug you have on your wall for a design board?

Hahahaha! I was thinking to myself that the border really didn't go with those fence rail blocks. I also couldn't figure out the fringe along the edge. Duh! Eyes playing tricks.

Ha ha. I couldn't figure out the rug and fringe either. I kept pondering how to quilt something with fringe like that.
