    Grunge Fabric

I may be spelling this line of fabric wrong, but just saw the whole line this weekend and it is beautiful. Has anyone used it? Is it nice to work with? I'm thinking of using the white as background fabric for some red work.

Yes, I used the navy blue Grunge a couple of months ago in a quilt for a cousin, and I plan to use it in red and black to make a quilt for my son. It was very nice to work with and the quilt turned out beautiful.

I used red grunge for a wide border and there were also pieces of various colors of grunge in the Persimmon line from BasicGrey. They really are so much more interesting than a solid. The white is very beautiful. Welcome to the forum meme!

I love the grunge line, I even found it in 108" backing in neutral colors. It is a great fabric when you need color AND texture but not an overwhelming patterned fabric in your projects.

I have made two key hole quilts with grunge jelly rolls with yardage for the borders. I love the line. I would use caution if buying jelly rolls as mine have been dog legged. I was able to work thru it for the quilt but was not happy about that. If you are using yardage you are good to go, it's beautiful. I have purchased many yards of different colors for future projects.

I love the grunge line too and there are lots of new colors coming out. They add a nice amount of texture if you don't want to use a low volume print as a background fabric.

Bubby, that is the exact pattern I used for my grunge. I used black and light grey for the shadows. It turned out so cute. Mine selection was a little more on the dark side than yours. I loved working with it and it had a pattern to it, but it was faint and looked perfect for the look I was going for.

I have used the grunge fabric, and I also love it. I bought some more so I can use it again.

I've never heard of it, but, of course, now I have to make a Grunge quilt just because I love the word "grunge!"

I made Jenny and her husband's Rising Star quilt with different shades of orange. One of my oranges was Grunge orange, and I was always happy to have that come up. It has a lovely feel to it.

Just purchased 108" wide Grunge for backing on my black-tie-affair basic-grey ribbon star quilt. The hand is fabulous. I've used this line before for some pillow backing that has been washed a lot - stays really nice. Can't wait to get it on the longarm.

I've used Grunge in a couple differnt quilts. It is nice fabric and adds great texture. Hancocks of Paducah has all their Grunge on sale right now.
