I am wondering if you guys can help me. I am making a baby quilt for a co-worker and I am not sure what size it should be. What size do all of you usually make your baby quilts? I appreciate the help!!!!

Re: Help Please!!
My babies have all grown up now, but I remember thinking that I'd love to have a smaller, but warm blanket to throw over my son when I was carrying him in or out of a store or house. It seemed that all his blankets were so big that I felt like I was carrying more blanket than baby.
My opinion? I'd give her the one you already have made, it will be the perfect size to throw over the car seat/carrier to keep baby warm, but not so large and bulky that its dragging the ground or adding extra weight.~Mary

Oh don't change what you've started. As mrswindy said, smaller ones are handy to throw over baby in between house and car etc. There really isn't a wrong size.“What we do for ourselves dies with us. What we do for others and the world, is and remains immortal.”

Re: Help Please!!
I always loved the 45x45 size for wrapping my son in but the smaller size is great for just throwing over them for a quick run to the car etc. My daughter-in-law had one for our granddaughter about the size you've made and it was great for the stroller when outside, it was big enough to cover the baby well but not too big for extra bulk.Mary
A bed without a quilt, is like a sky without stars:)
