rainbow strip quilt need ideas for quilting dezign

I am making a rainbow jelly roll quilt and I tjink I would like to mark the top in an orange peel design. This is to be hand quilted. Is there a template I should be looking for to trace, or is it made with circles? I'm not sure how to approach this. If anyone has made this with the kona classic colors, how did you quilt yours?

I've seen the orange peel design done just with a circle template which you trace, move a bit to over lap & trace again, again & again. It would be very tedious to do. I know quilt stores & Joann's sell plastic template for this pattern which would speed up the marking process considerably. I'm sure you could find a stencil online for this too.
