    Diamond and Braid quilt pattern

    Hey all,

It's me Aaron again. I need some more advice. I was reading patchwork & quilting magazine the other day and found a darling quilt. Well I have looked on line for the pattern and only found it from a company in Australia. I was going to by it but didn't know if the measurments not be USA standards. So should I buy it or cant someone help me out. If you google diamond and braid quilt you will see what the quilt looks like. Thanks for all your help. Aaron

you might not need to buy a pattern. You could try and figure out your own pattern (I've done that once before). Try watching this video for some help http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EpHAp_pyVXQ

Here is a link to a diamond strip pattern. These are more diamond shaped where the one in the photo above are squares set on point. Could be an easy enough transformation though.

Aaron, I'm in Australia, I'm curious as to what about the pattern you think wouldn't work. You say: "didn't know if the measurments not be USA standards", what standards are you referring to? Our measurements when it comes to inches for quilting are the same as yours. The exception may be that we would possibly give fabric purchasing requirements as metres rather than yards. But in terms of the cutting instructions etc they are going to be in inches, you shouldn't have any problems. I hope that helps in some way.

Great quilt pictures, Aaron! I really love the one in your avatar picture here! Is that applique?

you sew like I do....in my jammies. Much more comfortable that way! I like how you have your patterns in a 3 ring binder...I really need to do that, i'm so unorganized, I have patterns all over the place and cant find them when I want them.
