    Jenny's HST method

Do you starch the squares before stitching around the rim, or starch after you've sewn...but before cutting? Seems like starching first might shift the shape of the square, no matter how careful I am about not sliding the iron.
I'm just wondering what the rest of you do.

I sew around all the edges, cut the "X", starch, press, and square up the blocks.

I starch after I cut the X in the sewn fabric when I press them open also.

Me too I sew then cut then press then sqaure up.... The squaring up is the most important part for me, make sure you square up off the diagonal line you'll be off if you square up by the square if that makes sense.
