    Flannel jellyroll

I bought one and now don't know what to do with it. Would a JRRace work? I 'm afraid of the strips stretching. Would defiantly use walking foot. What stitch length is good for flannel.

If you use a walking foot I would lengthen the stitch a little so your seams lay nice and flat.

I think 2.5 would be adequate. Can't wait to see one done with flannel.

I've never seen a flannel jelly roll. I bet it will do great since the people who make jelly rolls are usually the better fabric companies. I just love using the jelly rolls.

If it was me, I would use a generous 1/4 inch seam allowance. Although, serging it might be good but it might stretch it some.

I just saw a flannel jelly roll for the first time this weekend at MSQC store! I think it would make a great JRR quilt. I would advise quilting it by stitching in the ditch toward the side of the ditch that you pressed your seams. Then your seams would really be locked into place! IMHO, I can't see stretching as an issue, but I haven't worked extensively with flannel.

Also, I've used a serger to make JRR quilts. That would really make your seams strong if you serged the seams insyead of usi g the 1/4" seam.
