I am looking for a guitar quilt pattern to make for my grandson as a college graduation gift. I am thinking applique. I have checked online, but did not find anything appealing. Any ideas?

This reminds me again how fabric and quilting can make such a difference-I looked at the first link kind of went "Meh" looked at the craftsy one and went "that's cool" basically same design but the quilting and colour scheme made one so much more appealing to me. That is why I need to remind myself that some of the blocks I see would look totally different in the fabric/colours I like. Even if I am not keen on someone elses colour choices I should be open to experimenting with all kinds of patterns.Originally posted by Sharyn J View PostComment

I thought the same thing when I saw the colors on the pattern, but after I saw the one on Craftsy done in another colorway, I started to envision these guitars in batiks and all sorts of colors and fabrics! Lori Holt Of Bee In My Bonnet has a guitar quilt pattern using her Gracie Girl line. Google her blog and she even modpodged a real guitar with fabric for her daughter's room. For music folks it probably wrecked the sound, but it looks adorable.Comment
