    Janome 7700 FMQ

Has anyone used the FMQ bobbin case with the Janome 7700? Getting the tension set correctly on the machine is driving me crazy.

    Re: Janome 7700 FMQ

Hi...I have the 7700 and have done quite a bit of FMQ on it and have found it keeps it tension really well. I bought the blue dot low tension bobbin holder and have used it but in truth I can't tell a lot of difference. What I have found is that when I start either. At the beginning or anytime that I pause to put in a new bobbin etc it is happier if I press the needle up/down needle button.
Also make sure you are using appropriate thread, although again have to say mine isn't that fussy. Try a new needle, make sure you have it on the right setting (check manual) and make sure sure that the foot is just hovering above the fabric, otherwise you might get too much bounce which won't help with the tension.........really hope that one of the above helps sort out your problem

I do NOT have it or use it and find my 7700 Fmqs beautifully.

I also have the 7700 and do not have a special bobbin case (didn't even know one existed). I do LOTS of FMQ and the machine does fine most of the time.

I have the same machine and did not know about any special bobbin case.
