I want to make some hot pad holders (not for microwave use) with mini charms. Does it matter if I use Insul-Bright or Wrap-N-Zap? I got some WNZ on sale, but now I'm afraid to use it after reading about fires, it can't be agitated in a washing machine cycle, etc. I want these hot pad holders to be useable/washable and not just for decoration.

Re: Batting
If you are making pot holders, you want to use the insulbrite because if you don't you will burn the crap out of your hands. I either use one layer of that and a layer of batting on each side of it, or two layers of the insulbrite and no batting added. I judge it by holding it up to my iron which has been set on high.pat.
