    Sewing prepaneled

    Is there a tutorial on how to put together a pre-paneled baby quilt ? Help

    The problem with them is that they are often printed off grain and when you try to straighten them up the print gets wonky. I usually attach some sashing in the color of the edge of the panel so it blends in and I can get it to look straight. Then you can proceed with borders of your choice or make it into a self binding baby blanket. But you will get a lot of great answers here and someone has some pics of how they did some panels and they were beautiful. You can check my album for ideas but there are many more experienced quilters that have better ones to show.

        I have 3 panel baby quilts in my albums: Noah's Ark #1 and Noah's Ark #2, plus Kimba. I added a border to each one, then did the FMQ -- which takes considerable time to sew around all the figures, animals, clouds, etc. I like the way they turned out. I have several panels in my stash waiting. I bought matching fabrics for them so everything would coordinate. JCY
