Twister Tool and twisted wreath question

I watched the video of Jenny making the Christmas wreath mini quilt with the 5" twister tool. I would like to make a Christmas tree skirt; in searching patterns, they seem to measure anywhere from 40-60 inches. If I used the 61/2 inch tool and added borders, do you think I could make the wreath large enough for a tree skirt, or do you think I should go with the 10" twister tool? Thank you for your help!

What a cool idea! I haven't used the 6-1/2" too, but I have done both the 5" and 10". I think it would be easier to use the 10", but it could be done with the 5", I would just make it deeper than 2 rows for the actual wreath.

Thank you so much Jean. My daughter in law asked if I could make a quilted tree skirt for her and the wreath was the first one that I really liked, could use some fun fabrics and borders. I will follow your suggestions and will use the 10 inch. Thanks again for your help!
