What do you think so far?

As some of you may know, I am making a blanket from sweater scraps left over from making pillows. I cut all the scraps into 5" squares and some strips. I only had time to lay out the squares today...I'll add the strips tomorrow. Just wanted to know what you thought so far? See something wrong? Please tell me. My eyes are crazy right now.

Cil, what a genius use for those cut up sweaters, I like it.
Are you sure you want the red and green bits though?
It's just my silly opinion, but as they are currently situated, the red and green seem a little out of place. . . like there aren't enough of those colors to make it work. Of course you have the bigger picture in mind, and maybe the sashing incorporates those.
But, I really think all of those pretty 'natural' tones look so nice together. Looking forward to seeing how it proceeds. Nice Job!

I'm not set on the red and green either. That's all I had of the red and green as the sweater was actually blue. I think I might do away with those and replace with something else. I've taken a few pics and keep looking at them.
Since these sweaters were not 100% wool so they are not felted. I like it because it's going to be so soft and cozy. The back is going to be flannel so it will give it some stability.
Thanks for the advice. You said what I was thinking but I wasn't sure...now I am.

I think I would leave out the burgundy and green blocks. They stand out too much combined with the black, grey and off white.

What a wonderful use for old sweaters and I agree about the red and green blocks. I would take those out, other than that it looks great!

You are so clever - another thing I would never have thought of doing. Love the colors, but agree about eliminating the red and green.

I agree with what everyone else has said. It is looking really good. What a great way to use up old sweaters. Are you using a stabiliser?

Very cool idea! I think if you group all the red and green bits together in a pattern, you could still use them. Could you make a heart shape with them? Wouldn't even have to be in the middle either.
