    Summer Stars Block Question

I decided to make the Summer Stars quilt pattern using Civil War fabrics with a cream background for the stars. Newbie mistake - I didn't measure each block as I finished it and they are not the same size. The difference is between 1/4 and 1/2 inch. I did make sure that all my points were 1/4" from edge so I wouldn't lose any points. Now my idea is to add a 1 to1-1/2" sash around each star, square those then add the next sash (different fabric) with sashing blocks. Please let me know your opinion. I would really like to salvage this top as I put a lot of work into each of the stars. My other option is to rip all the stars apart and resew them but there are a lot of stars.

    Thanks in advance.

I'd try the sashing idea. I think the eye will be fooled into seeing the sashing as even, even if it is off by as much as a half inch. Live and learn, right?

I agree with Jean. I'm assuming if you tried to square them you would lose points.
