    Rotary Cutting with Pinking Blade

Does any one use a pinking blade when cutting blocks, as in Disappearing 4 or 9 patches? I bought one and so far I think I really like it. I don't think I get as much lint and raveling. Any thoughts or suggestions?

    Hi Bob,

I have a pinking blade for my cutter but it's more of a rounded shallow scallop than sharp points. I use mine whenever I sew fabric together to make backing for a quilt. I sew a wide seam and trim it with the 'pinking' blade. I know I would have trouble making accurate seams with the edge mine cuts. If it works for you, go with it.

I have used one too, but for a totally different application. My dd wanted to make graduation leis and one called for the blade to make them look ruffly and flowery.
