I am starting my first Log Cabin quilt. I would appreciate any advice from you quilters. The strips are 1 1/2 inch.

    Thanks

I made a log cabin recently and used the method from this video.

What a beautiful quilt! I bought the Accuquilt GO Log Cabin die set, but haven't used them use. It's on my "to do" list.

I always recommend Eleanor Burns Quilt in a Day method. This is my favorite quilt pattern. Have fun! Hope you share a pic!

                            Re: LLog Cabin

Thank you for your replies. My colors are a red center and lots of brown, burgundy, reds, blue with a touch of green, gold. The darks and lights are both rather scrappy as I had been saving for a time and using up my stash.

The video helped with the strip piecing idea. All ideas are appreciated.

My blocks are 12" and colors are red center square with browns, different reds, green and gold with a little purple. it's scrappy.
