    Iron

Does anyone out there have an Oliso iron. I have a Rowenta and also a professional iron. Joanne Fabric the Oliso for 30% off. I see review and there are pros and cons. Let me know what you think.

I have a nonstick Oliso, love it! Took some getting used to w/the way it goes up and down, but I'm more or less used to it by now. You can also turn that certain function off, at least on mine. I used it this past week for applique and it got a tad messy, but w/the nonstick feature, it cleaned up and looks new again!

      Re: Iron

I had an inexpensive non-stick iron. I rarely used an iron before I started quilting. I wasn't happy with it. I'm doing a Disappearing 4 Patch for a friend who always irons a lot and brags about the Rowenta being so good. I used to laugh at what they cost. My friend gave me the one they had and bought a new one. I love it. It is such a better iron, it heats faster, more evenly and if I use steam it really produces steam.

Rowenta does heat fast and has great steam! That was my old iron, and I still have it. The Oliso heats up even faster, but I don't think the steam is as great.

I've have 3 Rowentas, one being the Professional, and after about a year they all started spitting and sputtering. They were also extremely heavy. I bought an Oliso on sale at Joann's on Black Friday, and I love it. It heats very fast and has lots of steam. The automatic lift is fantastic. I'll never buy another brand of iron.

I have an Oliso. Love it. I never use the steam in any iron. Gave that up after all the spitting and spoting. I use a spray bottle, much better results.

They actually have all their irons on sale. I was just in there today. Happy shopping! Also if you download the Joann's app on your phone you can use the 15% off coupon on your whole purchase, including sale items.
              Hugs,

I just bought one last month. I do like it. The biggest thing that I have noticed is how much flatter my seams are.

I thought I was the only one with bad luck with Rowenta's, I've had three, all did the spitting thing...I just bought a cheap iron at Walmart and it had lasted 6 months and died this week...I will look at the Oliso iron today online since we don't have a Joann's here.
