    Help with simple thing Pleassse

Hello,i am a new sewer and got some pillow panels and omg it should be real simple but it is not for me.
do I cut side to side or up and down?and what is with the border?
best way to describe it is
4 different pics of deer and on the far left and far right, there are a strip that goes all the way down the panel sideways kinda and it is only about 3 inches wide.
if anyone could explain this in simple terms I would sooooo appreciate it.
promise I will learn lots so I don't sound dumb lots lol.
I have made basic pillows with fabric I cut on my own and I watched Jennys video on making the pillow over and over just to get it right
I love this site and all the tutorials
    Thank you muchly

Welcome from Orlando. Not sure I can assist, maybe when more folks are on in the later morning. If you could post a pic that might help too.

When you buy a panel normally there are different components your can use any way you want to. You could cut out the panels with the deer and sew borders to them or leave them as they are and just sew a seam. Remember to allow for you seam allowances when you cut them out. Barb

I googled Deer panel quilts and there are some nice ideas.

I have some panels and the squares were small enough to make mugrugs with.

It sounds like the 3 inch parts down the side are meant to be the cuff on the pillow case. I can't be sure without seeing it, but does that make sense?? Maybe the large deer pics would be the main body??
Like Karen said, if you can post a pic of the fabric, I'm sure someone will be able to explain better.

I made DH a quilt using pillow panels. I cut just outside one of the borders and then made blocks of equal size. They are never cut 'straight' so make sure you square them up.
