    Basix template

Has anyone used this yet? I had received a gift certificate for Christmas and seen this template. There are also templates called X blocks which are pretty much the same. I think they're all the same concept. Anyway, I ordered 2 honey buns, Kona Snow and Kona Neutrals with the Basix template. I just checked the status of my order and it's been delivered! I need to go out to my mailbox and get them!
I watched some videos on you tube on the X blocks and you can make some really cool quilts. I'll let you know what I come up with

    Re: Basix template

I bought the Basix template, but have not used it yet - kind of re-discovered it as I was re-arranging the sewing room for painting. Now that I have been working in there a bit more, I think I need some peg board to hang my templates up so that I can see them and not forget what I have.

Can't wait to see what you come up with!

I have that template and have played with it a little. I wasn't real thrilled with it, I guess because I felt like I could have done the same thing with one of my rulers. You know, like tube quilting you can use a regular ruler instead of buying a special shaped one - sort of felt that way with this one.

I have a couple of the X rulers but haven't done anything with them yet. I have a bad habit of buying quilt stuff & then putting it away for awhile . I still plan to try this one out soon, but want to finish some UFOs before I start another one...
Please share your opinions when you try them.

I kinda felt that way too and that's why I only bought the small one.
