    Quilting Design

I have a completed quilt top that I pieced from the MSQC tutorial on the 3 Dudes pattern and I used 2 Jelly Rolls so it is somewhat sizable. (Can't remember the exact measurements). I have to add a border but my question is how do you decide on how to quilt your project. This quilt top is mostly diagonal lines so do you do straight line quilting or no? Maybe FMQ? I could be over thinking this but any suggestions would be great. Thank you!

I guess it would depend on how busy your fabric is.... If it is very busy, you wouldn't see intricate quilting (it would get lost), so simple would probably be better; but if you used solids or similar you may want to quilt it differently! I'm a newbie, definitely not an expert, just my opinion based upon what my eye is drawn to when I look at quilts

If you look here you are able to see how other people have done their quilts and you might get some ideas:

I'm guessing stitch in the ditch with clear thread on top. Would love to see a picture.

Thanks everyone! I will post a picture! It's pretty busy so I think maybe straight line quilting may be the way to go. I did a small quilt and stitched in the ditch and thought that was pretty challenging!
