Hi All!
I am wanting to make one of the patch pals quilts from Quiltmaker Magazine. I am doing the cat, but all the quilts are very similar. It is a quilt made up of squares and half square triangles. In the cutting directions, all of the half square triangles begin as 2 5/8 in squares, but the "plain" squares are cut at 2 1/2. There is no mention of cutting the half square triangles to 2 1/4 inches, but it appears that all the squares are put together, so it seems as if I should. Any thoughts?
Pattern: Purr Patch
Also, if I consistently use the mini charm packs (that measure 2 1/2 inches) and resize the half square triangles to 2 1/2 inches, and adjust the borders accordingly, do you think proportionally I would negatively impact to design?
I am relatively new to quilting, if you can't tell.
Thanks for any input!!
