    FYI, comic book backing boards

Just a quick story, my husband has collected comics for more than 30 years so I know what these boards are for. When I first started quilting and saw these on amazon as quilting supplies I was intrigued. I learned some people use them for storing fabric. So, there are different sized ones on amazon ( depends on if your comics are silver age, golden age, newer, etc) and then there are the magazine ones which are 8-1/2 x 11". I raided my hubby's supplies and tried out the different sizes and they will work. However, I am going to order the magazine sized ones since they are larger. Hope they will work just a little better. There are also different thicknesses but can't tell that from amazon. I figured if these aren't as thick as I want I will just use 2. Maybe not so quick and tmi??

Plus, if you order the magazine one, hubby won't raid your supply.

I double up on the boards if I am wrapping more than a couple yards of fabric on one.

Yes on storage. I have to lay mine flat though because I don't have room to stand them upright in my cabinet.

Cut to Pieces: Fabric Folding Tutorial

The above is the website I use on how to fold the fabric on the boards. It shows how to fold fat quarters too. There is a picture that shows how she stores her fabric upright after it's on the boards and folded all pretty.

I love these. Discovered them from a conversation on this forum a while back and ordered right away. Now my fabrics are neat, standing up and I can see them easily. Awesome! And I felt it was not a huge expense. I too use two of them if I have a lot of yardage for one.

You could stand them upright in shelves. I am putting mine upright in my fabric drawersimage.jpg. They also went up $2 in price from last night.
              The picture came out sideways!

They probably got some hits on search since last night, and the system bumped it up. I've seen that happen when I search for movies. Put it in my cart or wish list and when I come back later... price has gone up.

Your storage there is pretty nice!
