I just need a little help!

I have recently tried to free motion quilt on my future 400 and when I switched back to regular sewing I am having a hard time with my tension. This has happened to me twice now. I have re threaded my machine 3 times and changed the bobbin as well. I can't figure it out. I don't even know how I fixed it last time.

Did you change the stitch length back to where it was originally? My default setting on my Brother is 2.5.

Yes I changed it back to 5. On my tension knob it is different. My futura singer has e and s and numbers between. :/

A good place to start would be to set your tension in the middle. 5 seems high for stitch length. I would think 2 or 2.5 would e more accurate.
Make sure your feed dogs are engaged. Then rethread it all again.
