You could make a pieced border, with squares of the red fabrics. Or a piano key border with rectangles.

I agree, I would put a border of the background fabric and then a border of red. It is going to be very pretty.

I would just put a border around it and then sandwich, quilt and bind looks good.

I put some heart squares together from one of the tutorials here, but now I am stuck.
