    Precut prices

Is it really cheaper to buy fat quarters as opposed to jelly rolls or layercakes? Assuming that they are either all on sale or all not on sale.

      Re: Precut prices

When precuts are on sale they can be a bit less than by the yard but most of the time they are more. We pay for convenience and I am good with that. Saves time so. I can be sewing instead

        Re: Precut prices

I tried to do the math. Not my strong point when it's off the top of my head. I came up with there only being a few cents difference in price between the precuts with the amount you get. that was about the same with all the sites I went to.

I like the precuts for the variety of prints so i will still get them. I just didn't know if you really saved over one or the other.

            Re: Precut prices

It's a totally personal decision. I buy precuts most of the time for convenience and for being able to buy every fabric in a line. I often buy solids by the yard and cut my own, except for jellyroll strips in white and black. I seldom buy FQs.
