    Minkee Question

I need to make several baby quilts and was thinking of using Minkee for the backing. Have you used it, any tips and did it impact how you bound the quilt? thanks!!!

      Re: Minkee Question

I have used Minkee on a couple of quilts. After it is cut throw it in the dryer for 15 - 20 minutes to get all the fuzz out. This really works. I also use bigger seams, 1/2 inch. I have used batting and not used batting - it doesn't seem to matter when it comes to quilting... I FMQ with batting and minkee and it was fine - minkee looks REALLY cool when it is quilted

          Re: Minkee Question

I had two quilts with both sides are minky machine quilted by a local lady. She had no trouble quilting them. One big thing is to remember which way the stretch is. As far as binding, I'm just pulling the back over on the front and stitching.
