I came across this quilt online. I don't know whether it will work with turnovers, maybe they'll be a little too big, but I liked the idea.

what a great pattern!! thanks for sharing it...I think that turnovers would work nice since they make a 5" square once they are all seamed up....it would just be a large quilt!!

Ooooh ! I like that pattern!
That would also be fun with a charm pack cut into triangles. The HST's would be a little smaller than the turnovers, but it would still work. Thank you so much for sharing the link!

That is pretty! I like the splash of color amongst the solids... Now that would be pretty!

Sounds like we've all fallen in love with that pattern. I think it's the bright colours with the contrasting neutral. It seems to make the patterns even brighter and cheerier (is that a word?)

Cheerier is surely a good word .. look how nicely it works .. I an cheerier than I was yesterday .. and tomorrow I will be even cheerier! Yes, it works well. Today I am cheeriest.
That is a great pattern.. will look good in scrappy, but a controlled scrappy would sure give it a cool look too

Maybe you could cut each turnover in half through the point. They would be about the right size then and you get twice as many as a bonus!

Re: Okay..now I have a bunch of Turnovers...

I have been thinking a bit about this question .. if the triangles were sewn into a square, and then cut across so that each tri has 2 colors .they could be arranged pretty much like the ones pictured but with a lot more variation ...
AND if you are into Big blocks for a project.. a focus fabric square with 4 different pieces around to make a square in a square .. sash with a plain fabric (or maybe the focus) That would make for a great look and a quick project.  (my grandson just picked the smiley) sorry I don't have a turnover piece to use for a measurement or I could have told you what size square to use! .. when fiddling with ideas though, I keep in mind to sew North /South sides and then East/West sides .. and be sure I have tips hanging over.. SO professional!!! hahaha

I just saw this cute quilt that looks as if you could make it out of turnovers and some small amounts of yardage. She calls it Lizzy's Parade. Check it out here http://lizzyhouse.typepad.com/cherry_house_quilts/

I like the fact that it highlights the triangles individual fabrics, which is part of the reason we buy the pre-cuts in the first place.

WOW thaks for sharing that,, ho w much easier could a cute quilt get??? I'm sure those strips are jelly rolls and the white fabric is so easily cut from a wide strip cut WOF,, and sliced through .. BUT remember whenyod do that to allow for the seam allowances! AMHOK!! There ae wonderful rulers that help to, designed for setting triangles etc.. I'll bet they have them in 'Missouri",,
