I'm going on vacation next month and I'd love a tote/bag for traveling. It needs to be big enough to hold my Ipad also. Do you have a pattern or tutorial you want to share?

Mia,my bag makes a nice tote bag also. It's not hard at all to make a simple tote bag.Two pieces of fabric quilt batting in between the two fabric's.Fold in half withwise, sew up the sides, box the bottom, put on a couple of handles and away you go.Connie C

I love hoovering the internet and have more faves than what is good for me... LOL
Read: too much 'putering, too little sewing...
*Hangs head in shame*
I recommend Craftster for MANY tuts, HERE you can find
the collection of links for totes/bags/purses etc
Another great educationer is Lisa Lam and her blog HERE
And I agree with Connie above me: it really IS simple to make a basic tote!
Here are some I made as xmas-pressies for my very good friend Sue in California:
"Grandma"-tote for children's books and some wine/waterbottle-bags.
( In addition a small nightstand-top... )
Fabric purchases require no justification!
A stash must be carefully and constantly built. That's my story and I'm sticking with it.
