I am starting a block of the month and it uses wool, I am not sure how to go about this, do I felt the wool first, or buy felted or just use the wool and then dry clean it?

If you have some old wool clothes you want to cut up to use, then you would felt it first by washing in hot water and drying it. Otherwise the best bet is to buy a good quality felted wool from your quilting shop. Most of them sell small pieces so you can buy many colors without spending alot. I have used both but I like the felted wool from the quilt shop. It seems to have a better feel to it. Good Luck.
