I also have a top complete in B&W with purple. I love how it's coming out.

    Re: Color question

I think the turquoise will be beautiful...but I'm wondering if you should add one other solid color too...like a bright yellow. I've made at least 3 D9P quilts and because of the way the original 9 patch is cut to get the "disappearing block" . Does that make sense?

Hot pink, red or bright yellow always look great with b/w. I also like the turquoise!

    Re: Color question

Just my opinion....everyone else is right any solid color would do and yes, (again my opinion) red is used ALOT with b&w! The turquoise (brighter, the better) would be beautiful!!! I would consider a lime green too, if you like greens. It all depends on who is getting the quilt & where it is going to go! Have fun!! :-)

I love turquoise, purple, lime, yellow and pink with black (in that order) Any plain colour should look fabulous!

I'm doing black, white and a blue blender right now....my friend is doing the same but with lime green in place of the blue. Both are beautiful.

I like what you picked! You can get the shades of black cheaper on ebay

I think torquise would be perfect! I too am doing a black and white quilt for my daughter with pink for a pop of color. Post a pic when complete
