I have a very old, old kenmore sewing machine. I have alot of good memories with my machine. My favorite time of the year is Halloween. I have three Grandsons that I love making costumes for. My old Kenmore has seen everything from a Knight in Armour to a Cluster of Grapes (you had to be there) to an Ewok Costume. As I'm getting more involved in quilting, I'm thinking it's time to retire the old girl and get something that can handle all my quilting needs and wants. There are so MANY options out there, it gets confusing. If anyone has a suggestion for a mid-price range sewing machine, please let me know. I think it's time to make new memories.

Re: My old kenmore
Mom has a one from the late 70's. I love it. It is all metal and runs forever. I don't know if the feed dogs drop on it or not, but it has a ton of cool stitches that are all on cams that you drop in. I think that it even has monogram type letters.
As for a new one? I say bring some sample fabric and go out and test drive a few.Be who you are and say what you feel
