Hi folks -- my Brother sewing machine (BC-1000) works best with its own brand-name bobbin, i.e., not a generic store-brand bobbin, so with each new project I wind a new bobbin and sew and sew. Then I get almost to the end of the thread on the bobbin, but not quite, just to where it doesn't sew quite right, and I have to wind a fresh new bobbin and replace the almost-used-up bobbin. Other than using the thread on the almost-used-up bobbin for hand stitching, is there any way I can use it in the machine, like for for bobbin stitching maybe? I have figured no, since there isn't a lot of the thread left, and the winding would be uneven, creating uneven tension. It just seems like I am wasting thread at the end of the bobbins, and I am going through my package of bobbins quickly!
Any thoughts? Hopefully, there is a clever tip I just haven't run across yet.
Thanks! Carol
