Needle size???

Is there a rule against asking to many questions? I sure hope not. Now that I've gotten started on my first official table runner made with the lovely MSQC fabric. I have tons of questions.

I just realized after I have sewn 8 squares together that I still have the 18 needle on my machine. I think thats the one normally used for denim. Should I change it? Is it a big deal? Is it a bad idea to change to a different size after I have already begun?

I think I would change to the appropriate sized needle.It shouldn't make a difference....just make smaller holes in the fabric. Suzy Que

You could try lightly steam pressing the blocks you have sewn together and see if that reduces the size of the needle holes in your fabric.
