    Border Opinion

OK friends, I have run out of background fabric for this baby quilt, and welcome your opinions. To get my flying geese to line up, I will need to trim down the inner border. I will also need to put something different in the corners. So do I put the solid in the corners, or do I include the 2 inch background square in the corner? See below for finished top. Decision was made based on feedback received earlier today.

I like the 2" background square in the corner with the solid better than the solid by itself.

I agree with Carlie. The dark blue really stands out and ties in withe the rest. Makes your geese pop. Karen...that is going to be one beautiful quilt! I love your colour and pattern choices! I need to look into that ruler. Your geese are perfect!
Rainy days are for quilting. Thank goodness I live in a rainforest! 😁

Thanks. This was my favorite too. Now I shall figure out final measurements.

My eye is drawn to the dark blue also.

Add me to the 2 inch square in the corner. It gives it more visual interest.

There's nothing more directly linked to who we are than the fabric that we make.

Are you out of the white background use in the FG rows?

The 2 inch white square alone doesn't seem to relate to the rest of the quilt pattern. I would use a dark blue cornerstone.

Had very little pieces left of the background. Thanks

Thank you all for your opinions. I ended up putting the small square in the blue cornerstone. The top is now complete, waiting on cuddle backing I just ordered from M*. Once it is delivered, I will get it quilted and bind. Mom to be requested shades of blue and navy, so I went to my blue scrap bin. It all came from my stash and scraps. I'm happy with it.
