    Help

I am making the "Good Fortune" quilt. It starts with DP 9 patch. Instead of 5 " sq. I had to make them 4 3/4". After the 9 patch blocks are made, I put sashing between them. The sashing has snowballed corners and the corners are suppose to be 2 1/2 and the strip that it is attached to is 2 1/2 x 7".

My question is, do I need to change the length of the strip and corner sq. to fit the new DP9 block size, since the squares were 4 3/4?

You may need to look at the quilt to see what I'm talking about.
Thank you to whoever can help me with this.

I'd try making a test block using 2 3/8" squares and sashing width. (Using ratios, 2 3/8 is the same ratio to 4 3/4 as 2 1/2 is to 5) The length of the sashing will need to be the same as the side of one of the D9P segments after you cut the 9 patch in both directions.
