    ideas for using panels

Love the country charm panel, but need ideas for using with the different size blocks and colors.

My panel is a slightly different size but has a black area between each of the "pictures". I am going to sash each "picture" with solid black fabric so I can then cut it into 6" squares. I also don't have quite enough "pictures" so I am going to just cut some coordinating fabric squares to fill in.

Donna Jordan has a new panel video tutorial. I don't care for the pattern myself, since the overwhelming colors are the white zig zags, which IMO, overwhelm the panel blocks. I have that same panel but plan to keep it intact & put a border around it for a lap sized quilt. It's one of many on my bucket list.

I agree about the background being too stark, I like the pattern but plan on using a darker background

The first thing I would do is buy a second one. It will save you time and misery trying to make a quilt from so little fabric. But that's just me 😁

      And welcome to the forum!

Jenny has a great attic windows quilt made with a panel. Great video.
ive never bought a panel because I never saw a good pattern for one.
The attic windows Pattern May be one I’ll try if I see an interesting panel
