    I Spy Quilt

With all this time at home, I am sewing I Spy quilts. I hope the kids will use them lots once they can be gifted . Curious, as they will probably be washed often, what is the best backing? Flannel, cotton, minky, fireside? Thanks for your input

I used flannel or cotton muslin on mine. I have never sewed with minky and I never heard of fireside. If you buy flannel yardage you might want to prewash it since some of it shrinks a lot. Good project to make right now when we are all cooped up!

I have used cotton, flannel on kids quilt.

Enjoy life and do what makes you happy. Everything else will follow.

Every day I try to do one thing that challenges my comfort zone.

Unless it is a really small child I lean towards cotton. I suspect the quilts will be drug around on the floor, laid on the floor for play, etc. And flannel seems to pick up everything whereas cotton will allow you to just shake most things off.

Makes sense putting cotton rather than flannel on the back. Flannel collects everything. Thank you!
