    Pressing techniques

When should you press when creating a block - after each section or at the end of the block????
    Thanks!

It's up to the person & what they feel comfortable doing. Many people finger press the seams. Myself, I'm a presser. I press each individual section of the block as I go so that seams nest well. And I press the entire block when it's assembled. If you plan ahead with the pressing as you put the blocks together in rows, you can have alternating seams so the rows will nest as you sew the rows together. I hope that makes sense.

I don't think there's one answer to this question. Depends on the block. Sometimes you'll find, especially with blocks with lots of tiny parts, it's best to only finger press until the block is finished. Reason being is that there's a chance pressing will distort the fabric and things won't fit properly. If you use starch you'll find that finger pressing works really well.
