    Quilting with the maschine

    Hello everybody

I have a little quilting question, if you know maybe my english is not so good but i will try to exprime me ass good ass i can

I'm on my way to make a big big big kingsize quilt.... 240cm /260 cm
My sewing maschine is a brother innovis 350...

What do you think? Will i be able to quilt the hoe quilt with my maschine?
Maybe you've got tips for my how to handle the quilt in the maschine during the quilting?
With this big Quilt i also will do stitch in the ditch

Thanks for your answers an big kiss from Luxembourg

    Re: Quilting with the maschine

It will be quite hard to quilt. You will really need to roll up the sides. Also, the quilt will really pull on the needle. (We call this 'drag' but I am trying to explain in simple English). Quilting in the ditch will be a good choice because you can roll up the sides and quilt in rows.

I do not like quilting even a queen size on my home machine. (I have used to have a Brother Innovis 2500). I have quilted one king size on it though, so it can be done.

Ok, I'll try it out, somehow it will work with stitch in the ditch before, I can fix it perhaps with clips
In any case, I'll post a photo
      Thanks for your help!

Good luck! Check the back of the quilt often to make sure it looks right!

practice on some material that has backing and batting and a top layer first. You can check and see if the tension is right, and no loops are on the back.
