I am new to quilting and my first project is to make a stacked coin quilt for my son. I have the strips sewn together and am getting ready to put the shashing on. My next question is once I pin the quilt top, batting and backing on how should I finish it. I am looking for something fairly easy. I don't know how to machine quilt yet. Any suggestions? Thanks, Elisabeth

Re: Finishing a stacked coin quilt
If you stitch in the ditch you are simply following seam lines that you have already sewn on your quilt top. you can also do channel stitching (which I have done on a coin quilt) where you just stitch straight lines from one end to the other...typically following the same direction as your coin columns.Michele
