    My Canadian Friends, please read

Craftsy has lowered their shipping rates to Canada. Ship anywhere in Canada for just $11.99 flat, no matter how much you buy.

Monique, I currently have a quilt kit sitting in my shopping cart on Craftsy and shipping is "estimated" at $15.82.

Perhaps when you check out, it drops? I don't know what to tell you on this one.

Maybe the difference between US and Canadian $. The shipping rate of $11.99 is US. I just looked at a couple quilt kits and the shipping shows $11.99US.

My personal pet peeve with Craftsy is they charge us import charges. The kit I want is a great deal but when you add the shipping and import charges, it now costs another $33.65.

Wow, $33 in addition to the price of the quilt?

I know that this is a VERY OLD thread I'm resurrecting. I'm wondering if there is a way MSQC could do something similar with their shipping procedure to Canada? I used to order regularly from MSQC and the shipping wasn't feasable anymore...It wasn't just $10 if you purchased $100 worth or more as the there was usually a customs fee and taxes attached to it at the time of delivery. One time I paid $100 extra at the door. So I do prefer to purchase from places like Craftsy, even with the import charges added to the mix, at least they don't slap it on as a surprise upon delivery.

I find the shipping cost reasonable and like when they have $5 off or like this week when it is less. I have only been dinged twice with customs for all the sites I place US orders, but I try to keep orders at $100 or less. It is frustrating that Customs charge $10 handling fee to process a $5 charge.

Enjoy life and do what makes you happy. Everything else will follow.

Every day I try to do one thing that challenges my comfort zone.

When you were dinged with customs charges, were your orders still only $100 or less? If so, how big was the customs fee?
