This video shows how to make only 1 "block". Making a complete quilt top???? Hmm I so want to make one of these but, it is currently on my long list of "I want to make"

To make a complete quilt top, you either do multiple blocks, or your quilt is one giant block made from one giant stripset.

As you seen in the video if you sew many blocks it forms a zig zag pattern or a diamond.

WOW is the right word! I thought folks stitched each tiny square together, one by one. I am going to grab some leftover strips and give it a go. Thanks for posting this.

Heck no. Like most awesome techniques, it's easier than it looks! Bargello could be called the original tube piecing.

Note that by varying the width of your strips, you vary how fast the "curve" bends.

If you want a tool to help you design your own bargello (and you have a Windows PC), check out this post: http://forum.missouriquiltco.com/showthread.php?t=62691

A bargello quilt can be time consuming but not hard. I have only made one so far but I loved making it and have several patterns waiting on my list to be made.

Karen is correct. Bargello quilt simplifies the process by sewing first and cutting later.
I used the same concept in the following tutorial. Hope it is helpful
