    Thanks for the information and the link. I am a bit concerned about the statement that needle punched cotton is best for items that don't get washed. I wish I had recorded what kind of batting I have used in my various quilts and other projects. I will start doing this. I know I have used needled punched, sometimes with scrim (which evidently is okay for bed quilts), but I think I have also used just needled punched as well. Darn!

    I don't expect my quilts to last forever, but I hate the idea that I may have used a batting that will not hold up well with washing.
