finaly ! now i can know what i need ! thank you thank you ...i am still trying to figure out what is what ...between charm pack, layer cakes jelly rolls , fat quarters and honey buns .... i know jelly rolls are 2 1/2 strips ..fat quarters are 18 x 22 inch ....but what are the others .. I find myself falling in love with the materials and i just guess how many of what i need to make a king size quilt ..wish when we opened up that fabric it told us on site how many of that sized pack would cover say a queen ( with extras ) or king sized quilt .

Mary, thank you so much for this handy chart! I have copied it into MS Word so that I will always have it as a reference. As a newbie to quilting I have been wondering about this. You know how things seem kind of mysterious when you are new to a skill? I am always greatful for tips that help me reduce things to numbers so I can use a formula in my head. I'm loving this forum, and the folks here are so so helpful.
