On and off topic - sort of. "Quilted" egg for Easter

Ever since I saw this amazing
tut for a faux quilted christmas ornament I planned doing an egg - or more! LOL

All you need is an egg of the crafty variety,
lots of straight pins and some 3" or so fabric remnants.
    + trimmings!

In her second tut she shows her way of hanging it,
    - I chose to add the same type as I have always used for my other ornaments.

And so now I have tested the egg theory :

A genuine, original quilty egg. Great!!

Oh thank you, Loonwatcher! But this was a very fun break from what I've been doing lately:
making clothes for the doll we bought for our youngest granddaughter. All the fabric fun to be had, right? Mind boggles... LOL

Thank you so much! Hugs! I was going to make the christmas ones last year but never had the time...
              Perhaps this year!

I'm sorry, lindaw... I just did the same thing sort of, - I should have made that second layer narrow like she did in the tut,- looks so much better. Live and learn! Btw the fabric the closest to top and bottom I only had a little of. That's why I had some trouble so probably wise to keep all squares 3"!!

Mom made these years ago! I haven't thought of them in years. I'll have to ask her where they are. Thanks for the "goose"!

Love this. Save the tut to favorites. You did a great job adapting it to the egg. Thanks!
