.... When I saw this tutorial for a combination pin cushion, scrap bag and tools caddy...... I was ecstatic.... it's just what I didn't know I always wanted and needed.

Hey, Mia - are you finished yet? I have some fabric set aside for about 15 machine covers if you are up to it before you go to bed tonight . . . oh, and those little ironing boards all need to be color coded with the same fabric . . . I'll send it over.

I keep forgetting I need to make the little scrap bags for the front of my machines though. I just use a plastic bag (gallon size) taped to the desk/table with painter's tape. Not nearly as cute as yours, I'm sure.

Okay so I'm finished..... and it was pretty easy ...... except for the stuffing of the fiber fill AND the rice bag into the pin cushion. It wasn't as difficult as it was time consuming. It really is cute and I'll post some photos in the next day or so. Thanks for your support..... you're a sweet sweet bunch.

Mia----great idea, thanks for the link. I have just enough walnut shells left to make one more pincushion and this one looks so practical. I love the idea of moving it to the sofa for hand-sewing! So useful! And yes, Sandy-----it will be all matchy, matchy! Can't help it! Too cute!

That is A LOT cuter than the one I have. Mine came from the late 80's and looks like it! I love it for my hand sewing supplies. I don't have to search in the couch cushions for the scissors!
I think this one will be on the project list soon! I may even have a few folks who could see one under the Christmas tree! Never too soon to think about those things!
                    Thanks for sharing!
