    Philippa Naylor

I stumbled across this lady video clips. I was wondering if any of you are familiar with her work ? She has an interesting way of using leaders and enders. I like the way she does her binding corners. She back stitches when she is piecing. I was taught it wasn't necessary that the seam would be ok when it was pieced together. She talks about how the thickness of the thread can throw off your seam and things like having a throat plate that has a round hole rather than an oblong hole for the needle can improve your accuracy. She sews really really slow, uses pins and is constantly checking that her seams haven't shifted. She makes museum quality quilts. I think I am going to read more into her work and see if she has classes on line. I am a self taught quilter and I try to pick up small hints here and there so that I can improve my quilting.
