love this idea for making flying geese too but i have a question.... what about that little pocket? wouldn't that get in the way of quilting? and stay sometimes open on the finished project?

Suzi, I've made lots of these and never had a problem with them. If you are quilting it then yes be mindful that the presser foot doesn't catch in there, but they do sit fairly flat.

I love these, they look so nice and are so easy to make but do use a little more fabric than cutting with the easy angle rulers, but no more than using the connector corner method.

I posted the same thing a while back ...and have made the one seam flying geese ..its very quick and easy in fact I made a christmas tree out of them and thank you for reminding me lol ....I can get it out to use for the upcoming holiday season. I also did not find the little pocket a problem..once I starched it rather well it became totally flat and did not present a problem.

That is so simple! Im going to try making an advent calender wall hanging with them. Thought if I used cute christmas fabric then a could put little numbers on the front and slip small chocolates and sweets in the pockets.
