    Royal wedding quilt with Jenny!!

I really like today's tutorial, not a big fan of this color layout, my brain can not handle the red not being even........but that is just my OCD I guess.....
The pattern is stunning and evey easy.

    Have fun!

I like this block. I know what you mean though Klasien - it feels off balance in the fabrics she did. But I think in different fabric I would really like it.

I like this quilt and I agree about that one block. I wonder if I'd feel the same if the red one was in the middle instead of on that corner.

This would look great in civil war prints. I like making HSTs the Easy-8 way. I bought the new trimming ruler Jenny used but haven't tried it out yet.

Had to laugh, I'd finally bought the Loc Blocks to square up, and the very next tutorial she used that new trimming tool. But I have one of Cozy quilts triangle rulers and it works the same way, just no slots to trim the dog ears.

I agree about balancing the red but all in all I do like this one. I also really like the block lock ruler and will stick with it.
This would make a great two color quilt.

Hmmm. I wonder how it would look scrappy? Of course, using light & dark contrasting HSTs. It also would be a great block for mini quilts. Our guild is auctioning mini quilts again this year at our fall quilt show. I always trim off the dog ears & pin my seams to make sure they line up, & do lots of pressing in the process. Yes, that off centered red block bugged me, too. I'm one who wants the colors balanced.

Looks like a great ruler, I might look into that.

I kind of like the intentional color imbalance! I think where and how I placed it in my home would determine if it triggered my OCD. The pattern is really eye-catching, though. Thanks for sharing.
