Thanks for the post. I am not a bag maker but am going to try this tote. A question for those of you who do do bags. Is there a way to reinforce the straps? Maybe enclose some interfacing. I can see how batting would be too thick cause the straps are sewn onto the bag.

I put a piece of 987F that runs the length and width of the strap when I do totes. Makes for a nice padded handle. Some people put webbing inside. I recently started doing this so the straps don't wear at the spots they go thru the hardware. I'm liking it.

Yes, interfacing. And Nancy's Notions has some good tutorials on bag making, and she puts interfacing in the straps.
